Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
I know that in the spirit of thanksgiving, everyone is supposed to say what we are thankful for. Well this is something that I have been reflecting on all month long. There is just SO much amazingness in my life that I have been blessed with. It's pretty overwhelming sometimes. So I have decided to do a 27 things I'm thankful for!

1: My AMAZINGLY wonderful and handsome man in my life, Nathan.

2: My awesome family

3: My friends (that are pretty much my family)

4: The fall season, because I love every little thing about it.

5: The job that I get to go to where I hang out with adorable kids.

6: The salon that I am fortunate enough to work at.

7: My clients that are so faithful to me.

8: The cozy home where I live with Nathan.

9: The fact that the seahawks won this thanksgiving.

10: The hashbrown casserole that is served every year at my mothers house. (Yes... it's that good.)

11: The trailer that Nathan and I own and got to take out this week. :)

12: All the traveling we are able to do.

13: My parents who are the best people in this whole world and who are ALWAYS there for me no matter what.

14: My perfect little nephew that I can not WAIT to meet in 5 months!!!

15: Coffee... Enough said

16: SNOW! Because it is supposed to snow Saturday and snow just makes everything magical!

17: Disney movies. Where would we be without them? There would be no spontaneous moments of singing at the top of your lungs to the songs that only Disney can give us.

18: The skills that my mother taught me in the kitchen. (I'm pretty sure Nate's thankful for that one too.)

19: My chocolate lab EmmaLee who is a terror and a blessing all wrapped up into one little ball of fur.

20: Wine. Lots and lots of wine.

21: My health and the good health of everyone around me.

22: The gorgeous views of the PNW where I live and get to see on a daily basis.

23: The hair and makeup skills that allow me to do what I love and enjoy doing everyday.

24: The support that I have from everyone in my life.

25: Boots. Fall boots, Hunter boots, Comfy boots. All boots. And leggings of course.

26: Sweatpants :)

27: Last but certainly not least, God and all that he has blessed me with throughout my life and contintues to bless me with.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

Go Hawks!

This is just me having a little fun with my makeup on game day. Being from the northwest, we are ALL about the seahawks up here. Especially recently with the Super Bowl win, we do anything and everything to support the Hawks. It's crazy how creative people can get!

How To: A simple cat eye.

Hello Ladies! Happy Saturday!

Things are pretty busy around here for us this weekend. Tonight we have a wine tasting party to go to at a friends house which i am pretty stoked about. give me an excuse to drink excess amounts of wine and i am there! No questions asked. Tonight is also my best friends 24th birthday party which she is having at Keys on Main. So im pretty excited about that too cause ive been wanting to try it out since they opened. So we will have to split our time up between the two.
That being said... When things get hectic and you dont have time to get all glitzed and glammed up, yet you still want something a little more dramatic than the everyday makeup routine, this is your best bet! It is a super simple cat eye that ANYONE can do and pull off. It goes with every color, every person and every look! If i get a little too detailed in my instructions just bare with me. I want to make sure that EVERYONE can understand these steps.

You want to find an angled brush of some sort. It doesn't necessarily have to be a liner brush, just something with an angle on the end. This is my personal favorite eyeliner. It is Maybelline Eyestudio in the color blackest black. Its a cream liner which is my favorite to work with. You can achieve this look with liquid liner but it wont be as precise. I like to have control over exactly where my product will lay.

You want to start by lining your brush from the very corner of your eye to the very corner of your eyebrow. This is the angle that you want your eyeliner to sit at. Of course its not going to be perfect but just eyeball it and do your best.

With the brush sitting at the desired angle, make your first mark and follow it up, making sure to keep a straight line. From the very top point, youre just going to make a triangle shape and bring it down and in to the middle of your eyeball.

You will then connect it to the very inner corner of your eye, making sure to keep the inner line very close and tight to the lash line. You want it to get thicker and thicker towards the outer corner. Now all you have left to do is fill in the pre drawn triangle and you are almost there. If you like wearing liner on your bottom lashes then just take the same angled brush with left over product on it and line right along your lower lash line.

If you make any mistakes or the corner is thicker than you want it to be, don't worry. This trick is a lifesaver for cleaning up any messes. You want to take a q-tip and put a tiny dap of lotion on it and wipe it up along the line of your eyeliner.

It might still look a little weird or off, but once you put on your mascara it will start to come together, trust me.

Now, just apply your foundation and the rest of your makeup the way you normally would and you are good to go! :)

Hopefully this worked for you guys. If you have any further questions or want any more details just comment down below and I will do my best to help you out!

Anthem date with the bestie

Hey guys!
Let me introduce you to this beautiful gal right here👇:

She just so happens to be my best friend and partner in crime. She's the 'she' to my 'nanigans' the peanut butter to my jelly, the batman to my robin. (Notice the batman shirt she's wearing?) Anyways, I'm sure you get the picture. I kind of like her. BUT she is a total workaholic and lives like 45 minutes away so I rarely get to see her! So when she came home for a couple days earlier this week, we went on a little date to this amazing coffee spot right across from my salon. (After getting an amazing haircut by me of course.)
I have a newfound love for this place. The name of it is Anthem Coffee & Tea, located in the heart of downtown puyallup, wa. The moment you walk in, the baristas and staff welcome you and are super friendly! I ordered a honey latte and when Sara couldn't decide, the barista reccomended a Nutella espresso. Sara is ALL about Nutella so she jumped on that. We also ordered a buffalo chicken flatbread to split that was almost too delicious.

Honey Latte & Nutella Espresso

The coffee brand they use is Dillard's I believe. Trust me, I know a good cup of coffee when I have one. And how can you not love the art on top of each cup?! And if you're not in the mood for coffee? They have a great selection of beer on tap as well! Which would have gone much better with the flatbread... Maybe I didn't make the best combo decision there... but it was good regardless! I frequent this place probably about 2-3 times a week. Check it out! You won't be dissapointed. :)

All about Loma hair products!

Hey ladies!
So I think it's safe to say that I am obsessed with Loma! Everything about it! Shampoos, conditioners, styling products, it's all amazing! If you are looking for a good quality shampoo and conditioner that will truly enhance the look and feel of your hair then look no further my dear! Okay, I guess i'll stop rambling on about it and get to WHY I love it so much.

Loma's products are high performing with naturally healing ingredients and essential oil based fragrances. They are ALL Paraben and Gluten free, Sulfate free cleansing and Sodium Chloride free, and all products are good for your hair and skin! (Take it from someone who has SUPER sensitive skin.)
So lets break it down... Starting with:

SHAMPOOS:
Certified organic ingredients specifically selected to enhance, protect, restore and repair the hairs natural moisture balance while providing vibrant shine.
• Naturally nourishing and cleansing to leave hair and scalp healthy.
• Color Safe.
• Made in the USA.
There are three different shampoos that they carry.

MOISTURIZING shampoo: for all hair types, especially normal to dry or colored. It's great for moisturizing a dry scalp, and helps replenish and restore moisture for silky smooth hair.
REPARATIVE creme shampoo: for dry, thirsty hair especially chemically treated.

Next up is....?! Well it's pretty much a given.

CONDITIONERS
Loma Conditioners contain highly effective reconstructive ingredients, rich in amino acids to repair the hair and maintain moisture balance.
• Instant, light weight conditioner for shine, detangling and thermal protection.
• Made in the USA.
DAILY conditioner: for all hair types especially fine.

NOURISHING OIL TREATMENT:
Loma Treatments are rich in Alpha Hydroxy acids and anti-oxidants to propel hair color, while adding protection from the elements.
• Natural, organic, thermal protection up to 450 degrees.
• Rich in organic anti-oxidants.
• Smooths and protects the hair.
• Complete thermal protection.
• Speeds up drying time.
• Vitamin enriched.
• Absorbs instantly.
• No artificial color or fragrance.
• Provides shine and humidity resistance.
• Protects against hot irons and styling tools.
• High shine with natural aromatherapy.
• Alcohol free formula.
• Mix with Fortifying Repairative Tonic for even better results.
• Vanilla Bean and Orange Aromatherapy.
• Made in the USA.
This stuff is my favorite thing in the world right now! Especially since I am in dire need of a haircut and my ends like to dry out and tangle up because of it. This nourishing oil is a life saver! It has so many elements to protect your hair but my favorite aspect is the thermal heat protectant. If you guys really think about it, putting a hot curling iron to your hair is no different than putting it to your skin. It's still burning and singing your hair just like it would anywhere else, you just cant feel it! Which means we have to go to extra lengths to protect our hair from heat damage. This product right here is one of the best out there to make that happen. Plus it leaves your hair feeling SILKY soft. Who doesn't want that?!

CURVATURE CURVY CREME
For all my curly haired ladies out there, this creme is for you! It activates the natural curl and wave in your hair which means less styling time! It has a medium hold so you get the result of a gel but without the sticky hard mess. You can put it in wet OR dry hair. Think beach waves without the damaging effect that those beachy sprays have on your hair. Does it really get any better than that?!

SMOOTHING CREME
This creme has thermal protection, high hold and high shine, and it will give you up to three days of smoother results. This is a great product to put all throughout your (wet) hair right before you do a blow out. It will really help seal down those frizzies and leave your hair shiny and soft while at the same time protecting it from heat and color fade.

There are many more products from Loma but I picked out my favorites to elaborate on. Take it from someone who desperately needed saving from her own head of hair! Yes, I am a professional stylist, yes, I should take my own advice, but honestly, sometimes we're too busy making sure our clients stay beautiful and healthy that we don't have time to think about our own hair. So these products have been a lifesaver and have completely transformed the integrity of my hair!

I sell this product at the salon I work at in downtown Puyallup, Wa. It is not sold in most retail stores but you can ask your stylist about Loma and where it is sold near you. Or you can contact me for more information on where and how to purchase it.
