Pinterest Inspired NYE Outfits

New Year's Eve is just around the corner!!! Okay... So it's tomorrow. But everyone knows that I am the biggest procrastinator in the world. I mean, what fun is it if you don't have to throw a gorgeous outfit together totally last minute right?! Yeah well... That's where Pinterest comes in. Thank God for Pinterest! Where would any of us be without it? So if you are like me and are just now starting your fashion thoughts for the big night then here are a few ideas for you!

I looked in and out and up and down and all over Pinterest for the most pinned outfits for NYE. Of course, there are very few that don't involve sequins. Sequins and sparkles just SCREAM New Years Eve! So here is a list of all the outfits I've compiled for the big night.

If you are going out on the town, going to a big party, or you just want to sing along and feel "so fancy" with Iggy all night... Then dresses like these are going to be your best bet!

If you want something dressy but not QUITE so "fancy," then you can tone it down a little bit with some outfits like these:

And last but not least... My personal favorite, the casual but stylish NYE staples. If you're just hanging out with family, friends or your man, just laying low,  this is going to be the route you want to take:

See?! Told ya guys. Sparkles are where it's at! How can you not LOVE a pair of sequin leggings?!

Hopefully you guys could take some inspiration from these outfits and make them your own! I hope everyone has a fun, shiny, safe and magical NYE! :)

Christmas Beauties

Hey ladies!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Filled with family and friends and fun! Mine was busy as always but lots of fun! I love getting to spend time with family. Christmas eve for us was filled with lots of good food, good drinks, and of course, Cards Against Humanity. What better way to bring the family together than a vulgar, horrible game right?! If you havent played before, I suggest you look into it. Its a blast!
Most of Christmas day was spent over at Nathan's parents house. That was the meeting place for all of his family to come and go throughout the day. And then every year after all the festivities, we all go see a movie that night. This years movie of choice was Exodus: Gods and Kings. So all in all, I'd say it was pretty great!

Here are a few of my favorite beauty products that I scored for Christmas this year.

•Marc Jacobs 'Honey' perfume. It smells like summertime! So fresh.
•Philosophy's fresh cream lotion and
shower gel. I cant even describe to you guys how amazing this stuff smells. There are no words for it! Its just... *deep breath in* Ahhhh.... Love at first smell!
•Urban Decay's Naked2 palette. I have been wanting this palette for the longest time and I ended up getting TWO! :)
•Urban Decay's all nighter setting spray. I love the feeling of a good setting spray on my face. Urban Decay's is so refreshing.
•Lorac eyeshadow pallet. I havent used this yet but it has four shadows in it that make up the perfect nude smokey eye. I cant wait to try it!
•Matte Nail Polish. Because who doesn't love a good matte polish these days?! Shiny is so yesterday...
•Real Technique's blender sponge. You guys... I'm obsessed! It has the most perfect coverage, leaving the skin looking SO smooth, which isnt really possible to achieve with a brush. I use it to set my under eye concealer. And since you have to make sure its damp to use it, it makes you feel so refreshed!

Dry Scalp?

It's that time of year again! I dont know about you, but as soon as the weather starts to change and get colder, my scalp just changes right along with it! It will start to flake, and itch, and dry out completely, leaving my shoulders looking like I just stepped outside into a snow storm. When you are brunette like I am, it isn't so easy to hide! Those flakes stick out like a sore thumb on those roots. Gross, I know, but it happens to the best of us.
My clients are always asking me about the best (and quickest) fix to this problem. My solution to all of our dry scalp issues come wrapped inside this little miracle of a bottle right here:
MoroccanOil Dry Scalp Treatment.

So here is how to use it:
Sectioning out your hair as you go, you want to take the droplet and put little drops all throughout your head, making sure to land them on the scalp. It will probably take 2 or 3 droplets full. No need to go overboard with it, a little goes a long way when working with oil. Massage it into your scalp and let it sit for about 10-20 minutes. You'll feel it dripping or running down a little, thats completely normal. Then wash it out, making sure to shampoo twice, (preferrably with a moisturizing shampoo.) and you are good to go! You may need to use it a couple of times a week at first, but you should start seeing results immediately. Thats all there is to it! And remember, moisturizing products for your hair are always the best way to go when dealing with dandruff.

Christmas tree hunt/House Decor

Its that time of the year!!!! I personally get WAY too excited this time of year. I want to do EVERYTHING there is to do that involves Christmas! Driving around looking at Christmas lights, baking goodies, watching Christmas movies non stop! (Hallmark channel is a Godsend.) Christmas music playing constantly, drinking hot peppermint drinks (or consuming anything really that involves peppermint.) Decorating the Christmas tree, shopping for presents, and then wrapping them which is my favorite. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Cheesy but true.

Nathan and I just went last Wednesday to get our tree. We decided it would be fun to go on a hunt in the mountains and cut down our own tree this year, so we made a day of it. It was a blast and most likely a new tradition! We went to Greenwater which is just past Enumclaw, way up in the mountains. It was a lot of work trying to find the right tree. Definitely harder than i thought it would be, but it was still SO much fun! And SO gorgeous up there! It was a winter wonderland to the extreme. Here's a few pictures from our adventure.

Gorgeous views from the top of the mountain.

These are the logging roads that we drove up to get there. Scary and beautiful all rolled into one.

This is the final product, (except its a little neater now.) Looks like we just cut down a forest tree and stuck it in the middle of our living room! well... That's actually exactly what we did. But you can tell, and I love it! ;)

I become such a homebody at Christmas time, i never want to leave my house, because it's so festive and pretty once all the decorations go up! Christmas isn't just a holiday, its a season! Here is a view at how I decorate my house for the holidays. Most of these decorations are handmade my either me or my mom.

This is just a chalk board frame that i bought at ArtCo. I drew the lettering with a chalk marker.

This is the Symmetry Trio from Party lite. You can fill them and use them for any holiday or any season year round.

Costco has these Santa boots for I think $40. I'm in love with it!

Most of these items are for sale on my Etsy account which is listed below.
